The Mill View retirement community for the over 55s allows residents to live independently in their own modern apartments with on-site care.

Think lifestyle, independence and confidence – residents can socialize with others whenever they want, or just enjoy their own company, using facilities such as indoor and outdoor common areas.

They can also cook their own meals in the kitchen of their apartment if they wish, or eat in the restaurant.

And they and their families can rest assured that in the event of a minor emergency or incident, caregivers are there to help. Care and support are tailored to their individual needs.

The comfortable environment promotes social interaction and reduces the risk of isolation. If someone was alone before, he has the opportunity to socialize here.

In addition to residents going to the restaurant for lunch together, their families can also visit often,

Residents may find it liberating to sell their family home, move on, and realize that the worries they had are lifted from them.

Support and guidance is on hand to ensure they are happy living at Mill View. If someone feels intimidated about moving from a family home to a new location, there is an additional care team leader on hand to support them Monday through Friday.

Meryl Pithers, whose parents moved to Mill View, was delighted that their family had discovered the development of independent living.

She had been worried about the care needs of the parents here, but now has peace of mind that they are living there happily with on-site care, and she enjoys visiting them there.

“Mill View was a wonderful find, with extra care that involves onsite carers, well appointed accommodation with wide hallways, accessible doorways and a very secure entry system.

“And my parents love having the caregivers on site, the ability to sit on their little patio/balcony, and the ability to socialize with other people who live here.

“I can’t tell you the difference it has made for us as a family. It’s a nice, comfortable place to live and a lovely place to go and visit them.”
